Any help would be greatlyl appreciated...

I have created a financial model that gives two outputs:
IRR
NPV

Given the current values for the outputs, I am trying to figure out the quantity I would need to change an Input, "Development Cost", in order to achieve a target output.

For example:
IRR is now 12%, what value would "Development Cost" need to be in order for IRR to equal 20%.

It can be done manually but I thought there might be a good way to automate it so the model can be dynamic.

Thanks in advance for your guidance.

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
Try recording a macro using the goalseek function under tools.
You could then assign the macro to a button, change the irr % and click the button to get the input.
Hey Presto!
