Misterious (to me) Pivot Table View

Someone sent me an Excel file containing a single pivot table. A dozen fields reside in the pivot table field list within the ROWs box. One field resides in the VALUEs box. All of the ROW data fields (names) appear in the pivot table as columns, including the single 'value' field. I've never seen anything like it, and I can't replicate it. The file is an anomoly to me. I've never seen any pivot table display ROWs data in columns unless the field is dragged or moved from the rows box to the columns box. The pivot table layout is 'standard', not tabular, not compact, not special. I have a pdf image of this, but I'm having a hard time posting it. https://www.dropbox.com/s/90gqm7kajkp21fu/Excel Image Problem.jpg?dl=0
