I have installed mscomct2.ocx and mscomctl.ocx on my computer and did register these controls but when I open excel none of the controls are in these additional controls menu. I using office 2016 and windows 10 64 bits operating system. I have uninstalled these controls, re-installed and re-registered them two or three times yet the problem still exist. What should I do?

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
And you copied these files to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\vfs\SystemX86 and not <SystemRoot>\SysWOW64 or <SystemRoot>\system32 to attempt registration & usage???
My copy of mscomctl.ocx is in there.

You should be able to browse to the files and add them to the references which should enable the controls you are having problems with.
