is min necessarily an aggregate function?

i want to do min([Date1],[Date2]) and it won't let me



any clues?

use an IIF statement
IIF([date1]<[date2],[date1],[date2])

it's actually min(a,b,c,d,e...) kind of thing

hoping there was a nice function

i reckon i'll define a function in VBA, tidy but slow

Heres one I use, it will addapt for dates easily enough

dblSmall = arrayIN(0)
For i = 1 To UBound(arrayIN)
   If arrayIN(i) < dblSmall Then dblSmall = arrayIN(i)
Next i
FindMin = dblSmall
End Function
