Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
hmm

it's actually min(a,b,c,d,e...) kind of thing

hoping there was a nice function

i reckon i'll define a function in VBA, tidy but slow :cry:

ta anyways

Heres one I use, it will addapt for dates easily enough

Code:
Function FindMin(ParamArray arrayIN())
Dim dblSmall As Double
Dim i As Integer
dblSmall = arrayIN(0)
For i = 1 To UBound(arrayIN)
   If arrayIN(i) < dblSmall Then dblSmall = arrayIN(i)
Next i
FindMin = dblSmall
End Function
