I have my stocks downloaded but it comes in as one big text file. I need to break it apart.

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
It appears that you have Excel 365.
So in addition to the LEFT, RIGHT, and MID functions, you also have access to TEXTBEFORE, TEXTAFTER, and TEXTSPLIT.
Try Googling those functions to find detailed help and examples on how to use each one.

If you need help doing that, you will need to post some examples of what your data looks like and your expected results.

MrExcel has a tool called “XL2BB” that lets you post samples of your data that will allow us to copy/paste it to our Excel spreadsheets, so we can work with the same copy of data that you are. Instructions on using this tool can be found here: XL2BB Add-in

Note that there is also a "Test Here” forum on this board. This is a place where you can test using this tool (or any other posting techniques that you want to test) before trying to use those tools in your actual posts.
