Microsoft Word - Dark mode changes the document background color which can not be reverted by selecting another color. Why?

So annoying... I want a dark background but it converts it to some grey color... Like if it overwrites my choice. I can not even remove this update. Anybody else experiencing this and maybe somebody found a solution? Thank you very much. (office 365)
 

Excel Facts

Control Word Wrap
Press Alt+Enter to move to a new row in a cell. Lets you control where the words wrap.
Solution was to go settings --> general --> Office theme settings and disabling dark mode (it keeps dark mode, only this annoying background color conversion is removed)

It will happen to all document, but you can set another default settings like default canvas color if u edit the normal.dotm file here: C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates
