Quick question that I hope has a simple answer.

How can I find the name of a Microsoft Query (not Power Query) in Excel. I need the name so that I can code the refresh action to a button.

Using Excel 365

Thanks!

Agreed, but there is nothing there. Lots of "Connections", but no Queries. If I do a Save As, it will save he query to my hard drive, not the workbook.

I am just trying to do a refresh command in VBA, but no matter what I put in the code for a name, it fails. Run-time error '-2147319765 (8002802b), Automation error, Element not found.

Never mind...I found an alternative method using the sheet name and table name. Works perfectly.

If anyone knows why there would not be a Query name in the Queries list, I would be interested to know why it is blank.

I have never run into this issue before.
