Hello,

I'm getting a self generated Microsoft Excel popup message:

The object is not responding because the source application may be busy.
* To check the source application, click Cancel, switch to the source application, and dismiss any open dialogs. Then try again.
* To continue waiting, click OK.

Is there any way to suppress this self generated Microsoft Excel pop-up message?

Please let me know.

Thank you!
Pinaceous

Excel Facts

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
You don't state what you have running that is generating the error message so first question is...

Is "Ignore other applications that use Dynamic data Exchange (DDE)" in Excel options checked?

.
Sounds like your workbook has a link or links to another workbook or some software besides Excel.

This happens when the user activates a cell then forgets about it for over 1min 30secs.

So, is there a way through VBA to move the “flashing line cursor from an activated cell” of which blinks inside it?

For example, if the flashing line cursor remains idle inside a cell for over 1min 30secs then this message pops up.

Is there a way to then move the flashing line cursor to another cell after its been idle by way of VBA?

Is there a way to express this statement via VBA ?

Like
Code:
Application.Dynamic data Exchange (DDE) = False

Thank you!

Did you try putting this at the beginning of your macro
<code style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; line-height: inherit; font-family: Consolas, Menlo, Monaco, "Lucida Console", "Liberation Mono", "DejaVu Sans Mono", "Bitstream Vera Sans Mono", "Courier New", monospace, sans-serif; vertical-align: baseline; box-sizing: inherit; white-space: inherit;">Application.DisplayAlerts = False

and then this at the end of your macro

<code style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; line-height: inherit; font-family: Consolas, Menlo, Monaco, "Lucida Console", "Liberation Mono", "DejaVu Sans Mono", "Bitstream Vera Sans Mono", "Courier New", monospace, sans-serif; vertical-align: baseline; box-sizing: inherit; white-space: inherit;">Application.DisplayAlerts = True</code>
</code></pre>
