Hi

I've created a main form with a "Subject" field. If you open the main form and then choose a "Subject", then a relevant pop-up sub-form appears asking you for more information relevant to that "Subject" that you have choosen.

My problem is that the main form "Auto Number" will be 1478, but the pop-up sub-form will the create another record so the "Auto Number" will then be 1479.
How can we link the two forms together so that the pop-up sub-form will then remain on the same record as the main form, almost like an addition to the main form?

Please Help!!

Regards
Riaan

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
Have all the controls on the same form and change their visibility as required. If space on the form is at a premium you could always use a tab control for the additional fields.

If the fields are only used for certain subjects it would probably be better to store them in a separate table with a Foreign Key
