Hi,
Using OS 13.4 on Mac along with latest Microsoft 365.
My only interest is in using all of MSFT apps on my mac, no sharing etc.
I don't understand why I have to sign in to both Excel AND Word (used most often and assume would have to sign in to other MSFT apps).
Would rather not sign in at all, but if I have to why for every app as I have purchased (rented) the suite.
Seems should have to sign in 1 time for all !

Just checking here, though I am sure that my dissatisfaction needs to be with MSFT :(

Thanks

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Don't know why it does that on your Mac. On my wife's Mac it behaves normally, ie no need to log in at all.
I am assuming you are not talking about the online version

Yes, it's the "online version", Microsoft 365 Subscription, current version 16.74.
With this, I can share the subscription with another family member, or perhaps more than 1 family or friend, but I just share it with 1 family member and she DOES NOT have to sign in ever.

Another twist is on my older MB pro, can only run Big Sur, I have to sign in on all users 2 admin,1standard user.
On a newer iMac running 13.4, 1 admin doesn't require a sign in, 1 standard doesn't require sign in and a second admin requires sign in.
