Could anyone suggest a simple method to create a method for 3 and 6 level synchronised combo boxes.

a) I require this for a combo box which must be 3 levels i.e.
Continent
Region
Country

b) the other I require for another problem which requires a 6 level synchronised combo boxe.

I would appreciate if the coding could be as simple as possible, as I know little SQL or other coding .

Thanking you in advance

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
Can you be more specific please ...

For example, do you have a user form which has a combo box on it and this combo box has 3 levels (Continent, Region and Country). Depending upon which one you select you want to syncronise a further combo box. Eg, if you pick Continent, you would want another combo box to have Europe, Amemica, Aisa Pac ... and then if you select Europe another combo box for countries to list the european contries and NOT others ?

Am I miles off course ?

Cascading combo boxes for 5 levels for continents, regions,

Cascading combo boxes for 5 levels for continents, regions, countries

Hi Folks,

Thanks for reading this. I have a form on which there is a combo box that has names of Continent. After the user has selected the Continent, I need the combo box for Region to be updated by itself. I have seen this feature innumerable times on the Web while filling out forms. How should I implement this in my Access form ? Any ideas are most welcome.

Continent
Continent code

Region
Region code

Country
Country code

I have been told that this process is referred to cascading combo boxes:
I am having problems with above procedure and also as stated below:

Need to display the values in form
Need also to save the values (so to be used in other calculations, where?, separate field in Region?)
Need to update combo boxes
Need to proceed to next record

Would welcome all detailed information as possible in simplest form, as my knowledge of access and SQL is still very novice level

Thanks a lot in advance.
