I have a requirement to prompt a user to select 2 files from a defined default LAN directory.
File1 is a excel 2010 .xlsx file
File2 is a .csv file
File1 contains multiple tabs named Tab1, Tab2, Tab3 ... Tab(N).
File2 contains some header infomation followed by multiple rows of data and some of those rows will contain the same text as Tab1, Tab2 etc [i.e. if you filtered the rows you would see x rows which contained the string].
I want to create (N) excel 2000 .xls files where each file contains 2 tabs:
NewTab1 - the Tab(N) sheet from File1 in its entirety.
NewTab2 - the header information from File2 followed by the corressponding Tab(N) data rows.
The filenames for the new (N) .xls files will be the Tab(N).xls [from File1]
Because this is just effectively copy and pasting from 2 files into a 3rd file, I don't think I need to open any of the source files at all.
Anyone point me in the right direction to make a start on this?
