Merging Columns and Missing Headers when Custom Sorting

Hi there,

So I'm pretty new to doing these 2 things & I read online that one can use Ablebits data to merge 2 columns, so that's what I used to merge the First/Last name columns.

It worked fine on my first file, but on the second one, it's still showing column C as being attached to Column B :(

Now my row 1 for the heading is VERY thick.

When I went to sort a column using custom sort, it won't find the headings. It just says Column A, B, etc. I'm assuming that's b/c of the merging issue although I don't know why it's making the top row that wide.

Can someone help please. I really need to get this work done.

Thanks a ton
