Merge / Update Similar Files

Our company maintains a project database in Zoho. I'd like to export to xls multiple times per month and merge changes.

The basic info, like project ID and name, will never change. However, dates and volumes changeas the project develops.

My understanding is Power Query is the best for this but I don't understand how to manage the merging.

Screenshots posted below of a simplistic view of sample data and how it might change.

PS - I'll move to Power BI at some point in the future if that matters to build dashboards.

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
this is called “snap shots”. You extract the data and keep a copy of each snap shot, including the date of the snapshot. Then append these data. From there, you can build reports using the latest data, or previous versions.
