Measure used in Calculated Column

I am having some trouble working out what I am doing wrong...

I have a measure called Markup - Markup:=[Ext Margin]/[Ext COGs]

I am then trying to use this measure in a calculated column which is

=if([RevenueType]="Internal",([Markup]+1)*[Tran Amt],0)

Any help will be appreciated!

Sorry, so it isn't calculating the multiplication of the Markup+1. It is only returning the Tran Amt indicating that the [Markup] measure isn't being taken into account.

What are "Tran Amt","Markup","RevenueType"? Range names or fields in a pivot table?

Can you at least post some data

Hi,

Tran Amt stands for Tansaction Amount, Markup is the percent to increase the COGs (cost of goods sold) by to reach the revenue figure and Revenue type refers to either Internal or External Revenue.

I cant post the data but would appreciate the help!
