Hi all,

I have a quite complex measure or another way of a workaround needed for my situation. I have a dataset which contains columns of customer, unit sales, brand, sku, sales type and amount. The challenge is that certain sales types are not allocated to sku level but only on brand level, however I need it to be allocated on sku level by the size of that sku within that certain customer and certain brand based on unit sales. All the sku's contain a column with the right brand name so that is already correct.
So I need a fresh column of amount by sales type, based on sku level which is correctly allocated to each combination of brand-sku-sales type-customer.

Any ideas?

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
You might get a better response if you give a helper more to work with. Consider posting a portion of a worksheet containing fake-but-realistic data to work with. Do it with Mr Excel's XL2BB addin. See here.
