Maximum Number of Records?

Does Access have a limit to the number of records you can have in a table (similar to how Excel limits the number of rows to 65,536)?

If no, does anyone know what the largest "recommended" number of records would be, before it would make more sense to use a higher-end database.

I am looking for a basic order of magnitude (e.g. millions, billions, hundreds of thousands, etc.)

Put it this way: the maximum size an Access database can reach is 2GB.

It can hold millions of records.
