Excel Facts

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
What exactly does the label say?

In that case try
Code:
Range("Z1") = WorksheetFunction.max(100, (Val(lbSL) / 100)) - (Val(lbSL) / 100)

Sorry, but I'm still getting the error. I think it because of the calculation. It doesn't like to divide 3 divided by 2. However, it doesn't produce the error with its 2 divided by 3

Check that the first character is a number & nothing else

I just realize, I had to take out the "%" for the calculation then format it back to percentage. That seems do the trick.

Code:
Format(WorksheetFunction.Max(100, Replace(lbSL, "%", "")) - Replace(lbSL, "%", ""), "0.0%")
