Hi, apologies, it's been 20 years since my Maths A Level and I'm struggling to rearrange a formula in Excel to solve for a variable. I have:
A = B x C^D + E x C^F
and want to rearrange for C = ...
i.e. with numbers:
368.6 = 100*1.08^2 + 200*1.08^3
but what would it be to calculate 1.08 = ...
I can find C using Goalseek but can't work out how to rearrange the above. I've looked at the various Excel functions and think it may be a straight Math conundrum. Any help appreciated. Thank you
