Hi, I am in the HVAC field. Is it possible for excel to take a table consisting of a client name/address/date service is needed at site/technician that takes care of site/filter qty/filter size... and create a monthly report what filters and quantity will be needed?

I am fairly fluent with excel and have just started messing in pivots.. I have toyed around but am not sure I have went about this the correct/efficient way. Looking for advice, thanks in advance.

Brian

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
pivot tables OR filter may do what you need
depends on how all the data is laid out really

you have 365 version , so quite a few functions
l dont offer solutions - but power pivot - power BI and various other tools

knowing how the data is available and format
if huge data , then maybe using access rather than excel

maybe
A SMALL sample spreadsheet, around 10-20 rows, would help a lot here, with all sensitive data removed, and expected results mocked up and manually entered, with a few notes of explanation.

This will possibly enable a quicker and more accurate solution for you.

MrExcel has a tool called “XL2BB” that lets you post samples of your data and will allow us to copy/paste your sample data into our Excel spreadsheets, saving a lot of time.

You can also test to see if it works ok, in the "Test Here" forum.

OR if you cannot get XL2BB to work, or have restrictions on your PC

then put the sample spreadsheet onto a share

I only tend to goto OneDrive, Dropbox or google docs , as I'm never certain of other random share sites and possible virus.
Please make sure you have a representative data sample and also that the data has been desensitised, remember this site is open to anyone with internet access to see - so any sensitive / personal data should be removed

Make sure you set any share or google to share to everyone

i'm not sure how to summarise the data you have , the way its laid out , maybe with one of excel tools - Like power query , to pull it into a columns or maybe some sort of Vstak with a LET
So you get ALL the visit in one column on a different ROW , same for hours - BUT then you need to so a similar thing with the materials part
I just dont know how to pull all that into a format that could be easily summarised as you have shown you want

Other members may be able to help here - as i say with some of the more complex LET , VSTACK functions or the Power tools

sorry i cannot help here
