HI,

I CAN'T REMEMBER HOW TO MATCH THE "RIGHT" OR "LEFT" MOST CHARACTERS IN A CELL. FOR EXAMPLE:

01712312313 WE NEED TO MATCH ONLY THE LAST 8 CHARACTERS TO ANOTHER CELL:

12312313

OR WE NEED TO DROP THE 3 FIRST CHARACTERS IN A CELL...

ANY HELP??

Using a mouse in Excel is the work equivalent of wearing a lanyard when you first get to college
Code:
RIGHT(fldname, num_char)
LEFT(fldname, num_char)

Code:
If strVal = RIGHT(fldname, num_char) Then
  ' actions to do
End If
