I know this is probably a really easy formula but my excel skills have dwindled over time since I havent been using it.
Anyway this is what I am trying to achieve:
Cell A1 I have a Text Value Photo
Cell B1 Value is a payment for example 5$
These columns are a running list of payments which could be to anyone. Therefore Photo payment could appear more than once.
Then in columns
Cell C1 Text Value for example again Photo but C2 will be another category and so on
Cell D1 This will be the current balance
Cell E1 This will be the total amount of payments in column B that match the text in column C, if they match then the sum adds it.
Cell F1 Simple sum to minus the contents of column D with Column E.
I hope this make sense, I would be grateful for some guidance.
