Hi All,
I am working on a project whereby we have been provided a new list of descriptions with new codining to re-price.
We also have years of existing data where the descriptions are somewhat similiar and have been working to match these with the existing codes we have as a base point.
I have done fuzzy match at 60%, 40% and 30%. I have done match formulas with wild cards and vlook up.
we have found the result ;of the fuzzy lookup to be somewhat questionalble because as per the attached samples:
Sample 1 - Provided 42% with code PLU03200 however,
Sample 2 - Shower the correct code it should have matched with as per the description
The suggestion has been put forward to dry and do a match function on first sentences only as this is where we are seeing the highest match rate.
