Hello Everyone!
My Boss is running for public office and we need to do a mass mailing. In order to cut down on expenses; however, we need to consolidate the fields in excel to eliminate the households with more than 1 registered voter (so they dont receive multiple mailings), or, if possible, combine fields to make husband and wife appear together. For example, if we have:
Last First Address City State Zip
Smith, Mary 1 doe lane Boston, MA 02114
Smith, John 1 doe lane Boston, MA 02114
with each in a separate field, I'd ideally like this to merge as:
John and Mary Smith 1 doe Lane Boston, MA 02114
or
Smith Family 1 Doe Lane Boston, MA 02114
We have a master list of names, addresses, etc. (around 8,500) however, households with multiple registered voters are going to receive as many mailings as there are registered voters. We would like for them to ideally receive only 1, and address it to the parents, or the family name.
Is there any way to remove duplicate voter information without manually going through and deleting the households that appear more than once?
