Hi,

I am using an excel textbox to get user password (not an activex). I want to mask it, is there a way to do the same?

using a textbox on a workheet to enter text is awkward as the whole textbox outline becomes selected.

Once you protect the sheet and lock the text box ...it does not happen

When I right click the textbox I can't find the lock property ! strange !!! - i am using excel 2007
Why can't you use an axtiveX control ?
