Mark question as solved?

I received a prompt correct answer to my post today. I replied with thanks and indicated it was the solution. Is there any further requirement to mark the question as solved?

In the past on other forums, I have had replies trickling in for months after I was no longer interested but continued to get notifications.

This forum is an EXCELlent resource.

I understand that there are many other kinds of posts besides question/answer.

No there is not a way to mark the thread as solved.

Your replying with a thanks and an acknowledgement to whether or not you received your answer is the way to go.

You can also unsubscribe from your post if you no longer wish to receive notifications when someone replies. I like to stay subscribed to threads because you never know when someone may come along and post a different (and maybe even better!) solution. But, to each their own....
