Sometimes I notice forum members who have started a thread and after receiving a suitable solution from someone else, mark one of their own posts within that particular thread as a solution in stead of the post with the actual solution. Admittedly, the thread in question is indicated as being solved but it occurs to me that in this way the OP (in all probability unintentional) is building his own reputation.
As I've encountered a moderator sometimes corrects such incorrect markings. To be clear, it goes without saying that it is impossible for a moderator to continuously monitor such behavior. Don't know if this has been implemented yet but if the OP were to receive a warning beforehand that he / she is attempting to mark his / hers own post as a solution, some incorrect markings could be avoided.
Nevertheless and in the meantime: happy coding
