Hello,

I am trying to produce an Excel file filled with data from the XML file.

Some of the cells need to have the same element data. However the Microsoft Excel is not allowing to map an XML element to more than one cells.

Could somebody know of a way to achieve this result/ solution for this issue.

Any hint to the solution is highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Antony

Excel Facts

Difference between two dates
Secret function! Use =DATEDIF(A2,B2,"Y")&" years"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"YM")&" months"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"MD")&" days"
Not an 'XML solution', but why not point the second [third, fourth, etc] cell needing the data to the first cell that received it?

Thanks for the response.

Yes, this is very acceptable solution for the non-repeative cells.

However, if cells are repeatitive cells, then pointing to the first mapped cell (repeatitive) would not give the expected results for the other repeatitive cells.

could you please share your ideas/views.

Thanks,
Antony

BUMP

I too am having the same problem, but I am trying to export the information.

My XML file looks like this

name
<name>My Product</name>
product_set
Product Set 1</product_set>
product_set
Product Set 2</product_set>
</product>

but I cannot find a way in excel to assign the Product Set 2 as you cannot map an element (product_set) more than once in the excel file.

Is there a way to store the additional info in the same cell, and have it split on export?

Any ideas?
