Map sales area using UK postal area

Hi, can anyone suggest a way of mapping sales people on a UK map using just a list of names and the postal areas they cover (e.g. Adam AB, AL, B, BA). Excel maps and 3d mapping don't recognise the areas and data types thinks they are countries, not UK postal areas. Ideally I want to have a different colour for each person and shade the postal area in a map in their colour. So that you can see which areas they cover.

I believe you would need to use a third party mapping system. The following link explains how the postcode area, district etc works you could explore the a trial of the download which might help. I've not tried it but perhaps it can point you in the right direction.
