Map in Excel

Here is what I want to do, I want data in excel to color a certain section on a map - how would I go about accomplishing this? I am pretty sure I will need to create an image map in order to create the particular coordinates.

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
You could create a bunch of shapes with appropriate names (e.g., counties, states) and tne create a table with the shape names in one column, and colors (or color components) in other columns, and then use VBA to read the table and assign the colors.
