I tried to search the forum, however did not get correct answer. Happy to get to correct link in case I missed it.

I have a sheet in which user can select a value from drop down in column M. I want user to select either Y / N in column N if a value is selected from drop down in column M or else either workbook cant be saved / closed or user cant go ahead. Cells of column M and N are on same rows. I want this code to execute for entire column M and N. Data validation wont work in my case hence need VBA code.

Can anyone help?

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
