I have a .xlsx file which cannot be macro enabled due to security issues when the Excel file is emailed.

I have some cells which when if the user types in text in lowercase, I want it automatically to go to UPPERCASE. Is this possible?

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
I did a Google search yesterday and I couldn't see a solution, hence this thread.

I guess that would make it a .xlsm file then?

I believe so, hence my comment: "Previously asked and replies suggest macro solution only."

Try daverunt's suggestion but personally I don't think it's do-able without a macro solution which would need to be saved to an .xlsm file.

Good luck! Appreciate it's frustrating when receiving entities refuse to allow macro solutions and standard Excel doesn't (easily) provide.

@footoo I think problem is the end user, how do you prevent user changing font if spreadsheet is sent as .xlsx?
