Hello!

I have to make an 18x18 matrix calculator using excel for my math project. It should be able to solve the determinant, the inverse, the answers if there were a given system of equations, and the L&U of the matrix. I know I could easily do those by using the built-in matrix functions, but the thing is, the matrix can't only be limited to 18x18.

When I input a 3x3 or 10x10 matrix within the 18x18 and make other cells 0, I should be able to find the determinant and all the other elements of that matrix as well, and each of them should have their own cell. Is it possible for me to construct a formula that would determine the determinant of any matrix size within the 18x18 one and place it in one cell? Same goes for the inverse.

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
