I work in a warehouse doing inventory control and looking for a way of working smarter with one of our reports and hoping the excel maybe able to provide a solution. Weekly we run an excel based report that list all the current orders for which we are not holding stock of. The system will automatically generate orders on the suppliers, but we need to manually hasten those orders on a weekly basis. I would like to upload the weekly report to a common source, maybe SharePoint or our own document management system, this will allow the team to work on one document. Once a supplier has been hastened, I would like to add a comment or add a free text comment against the product line in the report so other team members can see what is happening. My problem is the following week when the report is run, I have no idea how to maintain the comments when the supplier was hastened. It is common that if another team member is actioning the report, they then may hasten the supplier again, naturally this can cause friction. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, I would say I have intermediate knowledge of excel.

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
My suggestion is to use the supplier code and item code in each the existing workbook and the new workbook to VLookup the comments, then copy/paste as values
