A cell in my source column appears as:

to complain
, to grumble

I have a MATCH/INDEX lookup formula that returns that cell, but I can't figure out how to retain the bolding of the original (with only "to complain" bolded)...a brief search suggested it wasn't possible; any ideas?

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
You could use VBA instead. Issue might be speed if you have many.
Being code, specifics would really help for anyone to assist further.
