Hi, my friend at work just told me about this great forum. I hope I will find the help I need.

I am trying to mail merge a Word document using data from Microsoft Access. The data contains telephone numbers in the format (999) 999-9999

How can my results of the mail merge remain in the same format?

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
If you go to Design view in the table and check the input mask for the phone # field, there is an option to store the numbers as formatted. Check that and see how you go.
