I am very new to VB and Macros and cant find any where two simple tasks.

I need to be able to search for a piece of text within a sheet and copy the field next to it....

i.e Search for Grand total and copy value 9.

ticket1 4
ticket2 2
ticket3 3
Grand total 9

Also a bit harder i need to change a pivot table, which contains a number of years. I need to change the year by changing a cell.

So, once a the input cell has been changed the pivot table will change.... after that i know how to refresh the table etc...

has any one got any ideas?? i have searching all day for this..

Regards

James
