I have several hard fought macros in Excel XP that I must be able to use when I upgrade Excel. Is this going to be a lot of work, or should I possibly upgrade to 2003?

Also, some of the macros use Acrobat 6.0, which I also need to upgrade to 7.0 or 8.0. Any issues with that that anyone knows about?

Thanks for any assistance.

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Sorry to bump, but surely someone out there has dealt with this??? Thanks again..

There is less of a jump wehn you go from XP to 2003. 2007 is a different beast, and much of the code will still work, but if you are using code on charts the code has changed quite a lot -- according to Jon Peltier, who knows more about charts than pretty well anyone. There may be changes associated with otehr objects like pivot tables too, but if your code largely revolves around manipulating cells and worksheets, you shouldn't have too many issues. I haven't come across too many, anyway...

Regardless of which version you upgrade to, you will need to update the references in the VBA project. Alt+F11 to launch the editor, Tools > References, and check for any refs marked as MISSING. Deselct them one by one, and select the later versions from the list.
