Hello, I have just written a macro to a colleagues laptop but get this message when trying to run it. I have gone into the Trust Centre and made the settings the same as on my laptop but that still does not work. How can I solve this, many thanks

Hi Mumps,

I should have said (DOH!) that I did click the enable radio button but that did not work (I also clicked the "Trust Access To The VBA.....") so I had a look at what settings I had on my laptop and replicated that but still no joy.

It looks like Excel is looking for the macro in the "PERSONAL" workbook. Try simply copy/pasting the macro into a regular module in the workbook containing the data and running it from there.

Which workbook and module is the code in, and how are you trying to run it?

Yes, I can try that too, thanks

Which module? It should be in a normal module, not a worksheet module, which seems to be where it is currently.

Hi Rory,

I do not not know what a normal module is compared to a worksheet module so there is my first problem. Today, I nearly went mad as I recorded a new Macro in a specific workbook and tested it four times (I am training someone on this particular aspect). I then sent her the workbook and she saved it and we then used the Macro on her computer with no problem. On the second attempt, it would not work and gave the Trust Centre error messages that we had previously. I am at my wits end on this!
