Macros are not running in password protected WORKBOOK, not worksheet protected

My excel workbook is password protected. And file has macros but my macros are disable when the workbook is password protected.
Please helm me to fix the problem. And show me the setting.

Is it that they do not run or they try to run but produce an error?

Macros are not running. They are disabled.
No error.

If I unprotect the workbook, macros run.
But I want portected workbook.
