I have put together a pivot table and want to filter out any and all results that are before 2009. I did this on the actual excel sheet that I put the data in but now the dates before 2009 are showing up in the pivot table. How do I filter or delete those from the table.

Excel Facts

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
I can think of 2 options:

1. delete the date from the pivot table source, so it can only pull the stuff you care about
2. filter the column, etc on the pivot table itself. Anything in the "row labels" or the "report filter" (in excel 2010) should have the pull down arrow in the column that would allow you to filter by specific values.

Hope this helps.
