Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Hi

Try this

Sub Remove3lastchar()
Dim rng1 As Range
Dim X
Dim lngRow As Long
Set rng1 = Range([K1], Cells(Rows.Count, "K").End(xlUp))
X = rng1
For lngRow = 1 To UBound(X)
If Len(X(lngRow, 1)) >= 3 Then X(lngRow, 1) = Left$(X(lngRow, 1), Len(X(lngRow, 1)) - 3)
Next
rng1 = X
End Sub
