My client has requested that run weekly project round up sessions using Excel. Currently we have a plan in MS Project 2010. I simply copy and paste the details across which includes the WBS number column. This translates to a list of indented tasks within Excel similar to this:

1.
1.1
1.1.1
1.1.2
1.1.3
etc.

However, I have over 1000 line items and so want to be able to automatically group the tasks based on the WBS IDs. Does anyone know of a macro that will do this?

I've searched for around 4 hours today and couldn't find anything!

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
