Hi

When I try to record macro, the small toolbar which has two buttons "stop recording" and "relative reference" do not appear. I need to turn relative reference on.
Can you please guide me how can I make it visible to turn relative reference on?

After initiating Record New Macro you can goto View-->Toolbars-->Stop Recording and it'll reappear.

It'll disappear when you hit the "Close" button as opposed to the Stop button. ;)

Hi

Thank you

I need it to show when I press Ok to start recording (before recording) because I want to turn relative reference on.

OK,

I guess I didn't explain well enough; if it's disappeared, then you need to bring it back by recording a macro (doing nothing), then calling it back from the View menu.

Then stop recording and it should be there the next time you start recording.

At that point you can change your references.

Ok thank you.

Can you please guide me for recording a macro.

I copy data from a software to Excel most of the data has links back to the software. I want to record macro to remove hyperlinks from the selected range. However I can only remove hyperlink of single cell by right clicking and selecting option to remove hyperlink. But when I select multiple cells with hyperlinks and right click, the option to remove hyperlink is not there. How can I record macro to remove hyperlinks of selected range.
(I need not only to record macro to remove hyperlinks but there are some further steps which I perform to be recorded).
Please tell me how can I get that option to remove hyperlinks when I select a range?

Regards.

How about something like this:

Code:
Selection.Hyperlinks.Delete

Hi

As I don't know much of VBA codes, I want to record the code instead of manually entering it.
And as I mentioned I need to record the macro (for following activities in sequence).

1) Delete hyperlinks from the selected range
2) No Fill (i-e no background colour) of the same selected range
3) Text colour "Automatic"
4) All Borders
5) Set print area (same selected range)
6) Autofit rows
7) Autofit coloums

I cannot figure out how to record macro for first activity because when I right click on the selected range there is no option to Remove hyperlinks. However this option is available when I right click on single cell.

Thank you in anticipation of a solution.

You need to goto Insert-->Hyperlink-->Remove Hyperlink. ;

Smitty, I have the same problem as that that you seem to have been able to resolve for Tahir. I closed out my Macro window and can't get it to reappear. (I've lived without it for awhile.) Can you elaborate on "then calling it back from the View menu"?

I can't seem to find what (I think) I'm looking for to bring it back.

You can goto View-->Toolbars-->Stop Recording while recording a new macro.

That'll restore the screen toolbar.
