Hi Excel Guru's! I've just created an awesome too for my department using Excel. Now I need to protect all the intricate an delicate formulas, that's where you come in..

Workbook details: There are 11 tabs 'feeding' off of a main data source. In that 'main' tab I need to lock or password protect columns A through V which contain all of my formulas. I've never written a macro ad don't know where to begin.

Users need to be able to paste data into columns X through AD.

The general 'protect workbook protection doesn't adequately protect what I need while also allowing the intended use of the tool. Hope this explanation makes sense. All responses / solutions appreciated.

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
It doesn't sound like you need any VBA at all. Just cell locking and password protection.

Basically, the process is to go to select ALL cells, go to Format Cells -> Protection and unclick the "Locked" box.
Then select JUST the ranges you want to protect, go to Format Cells -> Protection and click the "Locked" box.
Then password protect it.
