Macro Enabled Template error

I have an .xltm file on a shared network drive. I set it up as a template to enable multiple users to use the same document at the same time, opening each instance as a template page... but... when they open it, the macro goes to save the file as a generated name... a pop up occurs stating that the file is open and cannot proceed.

One user is fine. Multiple simultaneous causes errors

Any help is appreciated
