Hi,
We currently have users on both versions of excel (2010 and 2013). The 2013 user is using an addin that converts currency to text which is pasted below. We believe there is a compatibility issue or a security setting that i'm not seeing to make it work 100% on the 2013 user. here's what happens:
1. 2013 user receives file from 2010 user
2. 2013 user updates the file with function to spell out the number; saves
3. 2010 user opens the file and saves.
4. 2013 user opens the file 2nd time; the full path of the add in is save with the 2013 user directory path; when the 2013 user reissues the function (i.e. retypes the formula to recalculate it) it gives her a #Name errror as if the addin didn't load but it's there.
5. 2013 user reboots machine
6. Opens excel and function/addin is working again.
Things i have tried already:
- Copied code directly into excel 2013 user new workbook and save as an addin
- Allow all macros
- mark the user\appdata\roaming\microsoft\addins as a trusted directory in excel
