I'm trying to make 2 buttons for a query that will go in a switchboard.

The two buttons I'm trying to make are going to be called Add and Cancel.

Add, will obviously add the new records created in the form, and Cancel will just close the form.

My issue is I don't know how to go about creating the macro or what should be included in the macro >_>

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
.
Paste this code in a UserForm :

Code:
Option Explicit
Private Sub btnCancel_Click()
    Unload Me
End Sub

Private Sub btnOK_Click()
    Dim ws As Worksheet
    Set ws = ActiveSheet
    Dim newRow As Long

    newRow = Application.WorksheetFunction.CountA(ws.Range("A:A")) + 1

    'The next two lines can be expanded as many times as needed for all the entry fields in your project

    ws.Cells(newRow, 1).Value = Me.txtFirstName.Value
    ws.Cells(newRow, 2).Value = Me.txtSurname.Value

End Sub

Sub CommandButton1_Click()
    Selection.EntireRow.Delete
End Sub

You have posted this in an access forum but the code given is for an Excel UserForm.

Is it Access or Excel you are working on?
