i would appreciate some help on a button problem i'm having.

i've created a macro button using the 'control toolbox toolbar'. i've also set the button background the same colour as the cell under the button. i've then made the button background transparent. before i 'click' the button the background colour and text show through, which is what i want. after i 'click' the button the backgound is the same colour, which is what i would expect, but the text no longer shows through which tells me the button is no longer transparent. how can i make the button remain transparent during and after i 'click' it?

i am willing to do it with the control toolbox properties or through vba, whichever works.

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
its okay, i've been able to solve the problem. in the vba code for the button 'click' i had to select another cell away from the cell overlaid by the button. this allowed the cell contents below the button to show through.
