Im new to macros. Ive used the recorder a lot to help with simple macros of if a do b, but i need a better macro for this issus and i cant seem to get the macro to do as i want.

Here is what im trying to do :

I have data that located in column A

So if. W = numbers of orders, and x is the number of worker then group by y

So i have 100 orders and 5 workers then everyone worker gets 5 orders.

I want to color code each group of 5 switching back and forth from blue and white.

The number of groups s not set. This depends on how many orders and techs.

So i need a macro that will loop x amount of time based on the number of workers then color. The orders by the number each tech will get.

I hope this makes sense

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
i have 3 variables
x = number of orders
y = number of techs
z = number of order each tech will get .
i have the file set up so that x will divide into y to get z

i need the macro to then automatically color code the data in column a that correspond to z.
example:
if i have 100 orders with 5 tech. each tech would work on 20 orders.
the macro would then run color coding the data in column a. A loop would start : 20 orders would highlight blue then another 20 would highlight white or another color, the macro would loop back and forth between these 2 until there was no data presented in the next open cell, then end its run .

since my x, y , z data is alway changing , i would have to color code manually.

any and all help would be great
thanks in advance,

hope that makes a little more sense .
